Call to order by Judith Warner, 7:30p

Board Business

• Reviewed within 1 month after general email re FC sent to all faculty, 40 new members
• Executive Committee introduced and roles reviewed
  • Judith Warner to take over presidency
  • Social activity director, Eleanor Divver to continue with heartfelt thanks.
  • Treasurer, Roxine Lawton continuing, much gratitude
  • New board member Abbas Rashidi introduced
• Reviewed minutes are available on-line, at FC website

Social activities

• Possible summer activities reviewed
  • Pickle ball games
  • Hikes, ie the wildflower hike in July and others
  • Gallery stroll

Treasurer Report

• $6823.70 currently Faculty Club account (not including Business meeting costs)
• We are hoping Faculty Club will be awarded funds from the University
• Main costs over the year:

1. Children’s Party
2. Adult Holiday Party
3. The monthly Faculty Club socials
4. Business meeting

• Report available for members to review

 

Cabin Report

• Reviewed no access for 1 year due to flood etc
• Reviewed recent renovations
  • Total cost $150,000
  • Over past winter structural problems occurred
  • No more monies available for repairs
  • Desire on part of University is to sell
  • Reviewed events held at the Cabin
  • If it were to be sold, hope would be for Brick & Mortar location on campus for faculty
  • FC board remains involved in the process
